Victoria and Chris Preston spent the afternoon at the G.L. Watson Archives. They were given an expert tour by William Collier, the CEO of G.L. Watson, the classic yacht experts. George Lennox Watson (1851-1904) was a Scottish naval architect who designed yachts for the Vanderbilts, the Rothschilds, Sir Thomas Lipton and Kaiser Wilhelm II. Watson was also chief consulting architect to the RNLI. G.L. Watson Archives aims to be the most comprehensive archive of Scottish Yachting and has recently acquired the copious Fife Archive.
